Narcoossee is part of Osceola County and technically a part of Saint Cloud but due to it location to Lake Nona and its location on the East side of East Lake Toho we are giving it its own section. There are many excellent neighborhoods that are very close to the Medical City area just South of Lake Nona in Orange County up Narcoossee Road. These neighborhoods are located in the Osceola County School district rather than the Lake Nona/Orange County School district but homes in these areas generally offer lower home prices and lower property taxes than similar homes in the Lake Nona area.
Located in the southeast area of Metro Orlando, Narcoossee is about 30 miles from the downtown Orlando area. It is the Northeastern most part of the St. Cloud community in Osceola County. It is bordered by Boggy Creek Road to the North, Hwy 192 to the South, East Lake Toho to the West and wetland areas to the East. It is approx 28 miles from Walt Disney World and is a popular choice for those working in Lake Nona, Saint Cloud and Kissimmee.
Narcoossee was once a sleepy rural area of Central Florida that was know for agriculture and fishing. Today, the Narcoossee area is undergoing a major transformation due to it's proximity to the massive Lake Nona and Medical City area that is being developed just North of the area in Orange County.
While housing prices in Lake Nona are soaring, Narcoossee is proving to be a more cost effective and affordable area to live and still be only minutes away from Lake Nona. There is a brand new High School that recently opened in the area and retail, shopping and dining options are beginning to pop up along Narcoossee Road.
Older homes in the Narcoossee area also tend to have larger home sites than what you will find in Lake Nona.
