The Alafaya community consists of over X neighborhoods and enclaves. Located geographically in the Central-East of Central Florida and in the Southeast section of the Metro Orlando area. Alafaya is bordered by the UCF Area to the North, wetlands and then the Lake Nona area to the South, Wedgefield to the East and the Curry Ford area to the West. It is home to the waterford Lakes and Avalon Park neighborhoods and known for its proximity to UCF and the Waterford Lakes Mall.
The main roadways in Alafaya include Alafaya Trail which wraps around the West and South sides of the community, Avalon Park Blvd which runs North-South through the Eastern half of Alafaya and Lake Underhill Road/Waterford Chase Parkway which runes East-West through the community. East Colonial Drive forms the Northern border of Alafaya.
