Wedgefield is home to the Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park and it is also known as Cape Orlando and Rocket City. A fairly rural area, most homes are on 1 acre lots or larger. Wedgefield's Main Roads
The main roadways in Wedgefield include Bancroft Blvd and Dallas Blvd which run North to South the entire span of the community. Hwy 50 is just North of the community and SR 520 skirts along its eastern edge. The Beachline Expressway runs along Wedgefield's Southern border. The 528 Beachline Expressway runs along Wedgefield's Southern border. It will take you East past an intersection for the Florida Turnpike and terminate at I-4 near Sea World or West past the Orlando International Airport and terminate in Cocoa. Hwy 50 runs along Wedgefield's Northern corner and that will take you East to Titusville or West through Orlando and all the way to the West Coast of Florida.
