Vista Lakes Florida
The Vista Lakes Community is directly North of the Lake Nona area. Specifically, it is North of the Beachline Expressway and East of Narcoossee Road. Lee Vista Blvd runs through the heart of the community and intersects with the 417 expressway. 
Vista Lakes is a popular choice because the average cost of the home is less than in Lake Nona but you are still only minutes away from Medical City, Lake Nona's shops and restaurants and the Orlando International Airport. Vista Lakes is in Orange County but students in this area do not attend the Lake Nona schools. Housing options in Vista Lakes include single family homes, townhomes, condos and apartments.
Vista Lakes Neighborhoods:
14 neighborhoods make up the Vista Lakes Community. Each neighborhood offers different features which may included gated neighborhoods, water views, conservation views, proximity to schools and proximity to shopping.
Vista Lake Properties
Most of the homes found within Vista Lakes are detached houses. There are some condos and townhomes also found here. Many of the properties were built between 2000 and 2006 and there are nearly 2,200 homes in Vista Lakes. There are 2,185 homes in total with 414 condos and 240 townhomes throughout Vista Lakes.
The Vista Lakes Community
Throughout the Vista Lakes community, there are several amenities. Two of the neighborhoods (Horizons and Central Park) contain swimming pools, while the rest of the neighborhoods use the Residents' Club swimming pool.
Gentry Park, Central Park and Horizons have their own Homeowners Association. Vista Lakes also has its own Community Association, which is known as the master homeowners association.
Schools in Vista Lakes
Vista Lakes is served by the Vista Lakes Elementary School, Odyssey Middle School and Colonial High School. These schools are known as highly rated choices and provide students with a full education in Vista Lakes.
Parks in Vista Lakes
One of the main parks within the area is the Amhurst Park. It has a softball field, soccer field, covered pavilion, fenced dog run and tot lot. The neighborhood is also home to the Vista Lake Park, which is found on the 80-acre Vista Lake. This is a great place for fishing, launching a canoe and relaxing by the water.
Where is Vista Lakes?
Vista Lakes is found about 10.5 miles to the southeast of Downtown Orlando. It's located close to 417 and 528, which are two of the major highways found in Central Florida. These highways make Vista Lakes a great place to live for those commuting to Orlando for work.
Living in Vista Lakes
Those seeking a resort-style community with plenty of amenities will enjoy living in Vista Lakes. It's close enough to Orlando for commuters and those looking to enjoy the many attractions offered throughout the city. However, the community also boasts excellent parks and trails, along with their own shopping and dining options.
Whether you want to love near Orlando or you just prefer a community with more amenities, Vista Lakes might be the right choice for you. Its central location makes it easy for residents to really enjoy the Central Florida area without having to drive far to get to main attractions.
