Found in Lake County, Florida, Howey in the Hills is a popular place for those looking to live by the lake. It's a community on the lake and provides plenty of access to the best of Central Florida.
Location of Howey in the Hills, FL
Howey in the Hills is found to the northeast of Orlando, about 37 miles from the downtown area. It's also found just 42 miles from Walt Disney World and about the same distance from some of the other top area attractions. Lake Apopka is just minutes away, as well, and many other popular Central Florida communities are found nearby.
Real Estate in Howey in the Hills
Homes in Howey in the Hills vary widely with some dating back to the 1950s and others quite a bit newer. Many of the older homes have been remodeled more recently.
Island is one of the neighborhoods found in Howey in the Hills. This neighborhood is known for larger homes and was developed in the 1990s. Single-family homes are found throughout the neighborhood with larger lots and some even homes are even found on the water.
Another neighborhood with single-family homes is called Howey. This community offers midsize homes and many were built back in the 1960s. Howey is also known for offering some homes with much larger lots than other area neighborhoods.
Venezia South is also found within Howey in the Hills and offers many midsize homes. The homes in this neighborhood date back to the 1950s. Some of the homes are found on the water, as well.
Howey in the Hills features mainly single-family homes and offers waterfront options.
Things to Do in Howey in the Hills, Florida
Little Lake Harris is the main attraction within Howey in the Hills, along with some of the other area lakes. Residents enjoy plenty of water activities throughout the area and plenty of outdoor recreation.
Along with the lakes, Howey in the Hills is home to the Mission Inn Golf Resort for those looking to enjoy a round of golf. The Howey Mansion is also found here and offers one of the best historic attractions in the area.
Howey in the Hills also features Blevins Patriot Park and Spa Marbella. Several other attractions are found nearby including the Sara Maude Mason Park, Hickory Point Recreation Park, Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards, and several other attractions. In addition, Clermont is just minutes away offering plenty more attractions for residents to enjoy.
The Lake Apopka North Shore is also found nearby offering residents easy access to some of the best water fun in the area.
