Grocery Stores in Ocoee: Publix, Walmart, Aldi, and Where to Shop for Everyday Essentials
A local's guide to every major grocery store inside Ocoee city limits — plus the specialty markets worth the extra stop

Ocoee, FL has four Publix Super Markets: Plantation Grove (2600 Maguire Rd), Silver Crossing (1720 E Silver Star Rd), Good Homes Plaza (8863 W Colonial Dr), and Fountains West (301 West Rd). The city also has a Walmart Supercenter at 10500 W Colonial Dr, a Walmart Neighborhood Market at 7818 W Colonial Dr, and an Aldi at 9250 W Colonial Dr. International grocers include Seabra Foods (Brazilian/Portuguese) at 9489 W Colonial Dr, Brazil Food Mart at 10872 W Colonial Dr, and Quadro Supermarket at 23 W Silver Star Rd. The nearest Target is at Winter Garden Village, 3343 Daniels Rd, just west of Ocoee city limits.
If you're relocating to Ocoee, here's the good news: you won't have to drive far to stock a pantry. For a city of about 50,000, Ocoee packs in an unusually deep grocery bench — four Publix stores, a Walmart Supercenter, a Walmart Neighborhood Market, an Aldi, and a growing cluster of international markets — all concentrated along West Colonial Drive (SR 50) and Silver Star Road.
What's less obvious is that where you shop in Ocoee says a lot about where you live. The Aldi-and-Publix side-by-side at Good Homes Plaza is a setup you won't find in most Central Florida cities. Here's the local's breakdown.
The Four Publix Stores of Ocoee
Publix is the default in Florida, and Ocoee has enough of them that no neighborhood is more than about five minutes from one. Each store is tied to a specific side of town:
- Publix at Plantation Grove — 2600 Maguire Rd. Anchors the Plantation Grove Shopping Center, the Publix-anchored plaza that handles daily shopping for southern and western Ocoee.
- Publix at Silver Crossing — 1720 E Silver Star Rd. Serves the Silver Star / Clarke Road side, including Wesmere and older neighborhoods east of SR 429. Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
- Publix at Good Homes Plaza — 8863 W Colonial Dr. Eastern edge of Ocoee near the Orange County line — closest Publix to Metrowest and the 408.
- Publix at Fountains West — 301 West Rd. Northern Ocoee's option, convenient to Westyn Bay, Forest Lake Estates, and the Lake Apopka–facing neighborhoods.
All four have pharmacies. All four do Instacart curbside. And — in very Florida fashion — all four feel busy at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday.
Walmart: Two Formats, Both on Colonial
Ocoee is one of the few Central Florida cities with two Walmart formats inside city limits.
The Walmart Supercenter at 10500 W Colonial Dr is the full experience — groceries, auto care, pharmacy, vision, photo, and the sprawling general-merchandise footprint. Open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Per the official Walmart store page, this is Store #942.
If you just need groceries, the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 7818 W Colonial Dr is the smaller, faster alternative — Walmart prices, Publix footprint. It's on the eastern stretch of Colonial and is the Walmart most Ocoee shoppers actually prefer for a weekly trip.
Aldi: The Good Homes Plaza Power Play
The most useful grocery setup in Ocoee is at Good Homes Plaza, where Aldi (9250 W Colonial Dr) and Publix (8863 W Colonial Dr) sit essentially next door. Do the Aldi run for pantry staples, walk to Publix for what Aldi doesn't carry, done in one stop.
Aldi's hours run 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and yes, you still need a quarter for the cart. But the price gap on basics (produce, dairy, frozen) is real enough that many Ocoee families have an Aldi-first, Publix-for-the-rest routine.
International Markets: Ocoee's Quiet Strength
Here's where Ocoee actually stands out from most of West Orange County. The city has become a legitimate Latin and Brazilian grocery corridor along West Colonial.
Seabra Foods at 9489 W Colonial Dr is the biggest. The Brazilian-Portuguese market opened in 2024 in the former Toys "R" Us space at West Oaks Mall — fully stocked bakery, deli, meats, produce, and imported goods from Portugal, Brazil, and across South America. Local coverage marked it as a significant addition to Ocoee's retail mix.
A few blocks west, Brazil Food Mart (10872 W Colonial Dr) is the smaller neighborhood-scale Brazilian option. Over on Silver Star, Quadro Supermarket (23 W Silver Star Rd) and La Estrellita (1212 E Silver Star Rd) cover Latin grocery needs for the east side.
Adjacent cities like Windermere and Gotha don't have an equivalent cluster — it's one reason the demographic mix along Ocoee's Colonial corridor feels distinctly different.
What Ocoee Doesn't Have (And Where to Go Instead)
Not every chain has an Ocoee location. If you're coming from a bigger metro:
- Target: Nearest is Winter Garden at 3343 Daniels Rd in Winter Garden Village — 5–7 minutes west via SR 429.
- Whole Foods Market: Nearest is on Avalon Rd in Horizon West, roughly 10–12 minutes southwest.
- Trader Joe's: Closest is in Dr. Phillips, 15–20 minutes south.
- Sprouts Farmers Market: Nearest is Apopka on E Semoran Blvd, 15 minutes north.
- Costco: Millenia, 15–20 minutes east on the 408.
None are deal-breakers — the Saturday "hit Target and Whole Foods in one loop" run is a real thing here. For a wider look at retail, see our Ocoee shopping guide.
The Real Deal on Grocery Shopping in Ocoee
The Pros:
- Four Publix locations — no neighborhood is more than five minutes away
- Aldi and Publix adjacent at Good Homes Plaza for easy comparison shopping
- Walmart Supercenter and Neighborhood Market cover both extremes
- A legitimate international grocery corridor along West Colonial
- Every major store sits on West Colonial, Silver Star, or Maguire — roads you drive anyway
The Cons:
- No Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or Sprouts inside city limits
- West Colonial traffic at 5 p.m. turns a five-minute run into fifteen
- No Fresh Market without crossing into Winter Garden or Dr. Phillips
Our Take:
If you do the bulk of your shopping at Publix, Walmart, or Aldi — which covers most Central Florida households — Ocoee is better-supplied than you'd expect. Whole Foods or Trader Joe's loyalists will be driving to Winter Garden or Dr. Phillips, but the drives are short enough that it rarely ruins a Saturday.
What the Locals Know
The best grocery shortcut in Ocoee: figure out which Publix is closest to your house, make that your default, and use the Aldi-and-Publix combo at Good Homes Plaza for bigger trips. The Walmart Neighborhood Market is the secret weapon for a quick grocery-only run, and Seabra Foods is worth a visit even if you've never cooked Brazilian — the bakery alone is a reason.
Grocery access is one of those quiet quality-of-life factors that shapes how livable a neighborhood feels day-to-day. Ocoee's three-corridor grocery grid — Colonial, Silver Star, Maguire — is a big part of why residents stay put.
