A city found in Orange County, Florida Ocoee provides a home for more than 35,000 residents. It's also known as a part of the metro Orlando area. The city used to be known as one found "way out there" but the drive from Ocoee to Orlando has become shorter as the area has developed and the borders have expanded. Ocoee is on the verge of a huge growth with Ocoee City Center development underway. This new urbanism community will feature 500 urban style condominiums, civic uses, retail, restaurants, office space, hotel and convention center along the shores of Lake Bennet.

Many choose Ocoee because it's located just 15 miles from Downtown Orlando. With easy access to highway 429, 408 and the Turnpike, residents can enjoy a smaller town style of living with the larger city just a short drive away.

The city is full of both old and new neighborhoods with many historic structures found throughout. The Withers-Maguire House was built in 1888, while the Ocoee Christian Church dates back to 1891. The City of Ocoee is known for a few events held every year. The Central Florida Film Festival is held at West Orange Cinema every year over Labor Day Weekend. This festival provides plenty of great films and fun events throughout the weekend. Food Truck Fridays & Movie in the Park events are also held regularly along Starke Lake and at Bill Breeze Park.

The Ocoee Founders' Day Festival is one of the largest events held every year. It's held at the City Center West Orange with top musical guests, such as Big & Rich, David Lee Murphy, Pat Benatar and many others. The festival is held in the fall and includes a golf tournament, 5K run, Church tours, vendors, a car show, a poker tournament, museum tours, a cornhole tournament and plenty of live music.
