Where is Lake Suzy, FL?
Found to the southeast of Sarasota and the north of Fort Myers, Lake Suzy is close to Interstate 75 just outside Port Charlotte. It's found about 97 miles from Tampa, about 33 miles from Fort Myers and about 47 miles from Sarasota.
Port Charlotte is very close to Lake Suzy, just miles away. Many excellent beach communities are found just a short drive from Lake Suzy, as well.
Homes for Sale in Lake Suzy
Many of the homes found throughout Lake Suzy are found on the water or on a golf course. It's not uncommon to find a home with water views or golf course views throughout this community.
Both single-family homes and condos are found throughout the area with many properties designed for retirees. The condos here provide more affordable options with many offering around 1,150 square feet of living space with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Lake Suzy is split into three main sections including the estates found on SW Austin Blvd, the condos located around SW Egret Circle and SW Kingsway Circle, and the single-family home found near Pembroke Circle.
The Preserve is a newer 55+ community located in The Preserve. It covers 523 acres and offers many beautiful homes perfect for those relocating to Florida for retirement. The Preserve is an active community with plenty of amenities including the Kingsway Golf Couse, which is found nearby.
Lake Suzy offers a number of condominium communities including North Shore At Kingsway Condos, Egret Point, Crystal Ball at Kingsway Condos, and St. James Condo. Many of the condos offer great views of the water.
Things to Do in Lake Suzy, Florida
With so many ponds and lakes found throughout Lake Suzy, it's a very popular place for fishing. The community is also home to the Kingsway Country Club, Maple Leaf Golf & Country Club, and Kings Gate Golf Club. All three golf clubs offer great choices for golfers looking to enjoy the year-round sun of south Florida.
Lake Suzy is also home to a private airport with a grass airstrip. It's perfect for those looking to fly private planes.
This smaller community offers plenty of privacy and a location perfect for those looking to enjoy outdoor fun. It's not far from Port Charlotte, which offers more things to do including the Port Charlotte Beach Park and the Charlotte Harbor.
