Lakes of Windermere is a Windermere neighborhood of approx 300 homes and features a beautifully landscaped entryway, clubhouse with community pool, playground, tennis court, half basketball court, sand volleyball court, multi-purpose field and community dock on Lake Sawyer.

The main neighborhood entrance turns into Chase Road across Winter Garden Vineland and leads you to downtown Windermere. Just to the North of the neighborhood is Windermere Prep, Windermere High School and the Cornerstone at Summerport Shopping Plaza. Just to the South of the neighborhood is the Walt Disney World Resort area.

The Lakes of Windermere neighborhood is located in the Southwest area of Windermere just off of Winter Garden Vineland Road and Chase Road.

It is located in the 34786 zip code in Orange County which is central and heart of the Greater Orlando Metropolitan Area of Central Florida.

The Glenmuir and Windstone neighborhoods are next to Lakes of Windermere and Downtown Windermere is located just from the main entrance of Lakes of Windermere. The Florida Turnpike, I-4, the 408 and 429 expressways are close by providing quick access to all points of interest within Orlando and the Central Florida area.

Homes Available in Lakes of Windermere

The majority of the homes in Lakes of Windermere were built between 2002 and 2006 by Ashton Woods Homes. Ryan Homes is building new homes in 2020-2021 in the Sanctuary of Lakes of Windermere section. 

The neighborhood features various style homes which range in size from approx 1,800 square feet to over approx 3,500 sq ft. Homes typically feature 3 to 5 bedrooms and most homes back to alleys providing a beautiful front elevation.

Several of the homes enjoy conservation and waterviews while other larger homes back to Lake Sawyer and offer private docs onto the ski lake.
